Helena Thorpe has asked whether there are any ringers who would like to ring for the following services:

14th December, 5pm meet.

Christmas Eve, 7pm meet.

To attend you will need to have previously rung on the Cathedral bells at one of our branch practices or are established at rounds and call changes on 8 bells.

Just a reminder that this month’s 8 Bell Practice is on Sunday at 2. 30pm at St Mary’s, Peterborough.

If you normally ring in a 6 bell tower, this is your opportunity to ring on 8. Anything from rounds and call changes, plain hunt and beyond on 8 bells.

For the more advanced ringers, this month’s special method is Lessness.

Ringing on 8 bells is anything from plain hunt to Surprise methods dependant on the attendance.

The 8 Bell Practice at St Mary’s, Peterborough, 8th June will now start at 3. 30pm to accommodate any Cathedral ringers who may wish to attend following their QP.

Just a reminder that there is a £2 fee to all participants to cover a donation to the church/tower.

Just a reminder that there is open ringing for all branch members at St John’s Peterborough between 3.30 – 5.30pm on Sunday the 18th May.

If you have not rung at St John’s before it is an opportunity to experience heavier bells with a beautiful resounding tone. Don’t worry about the weight, it’s all in your ringing style!

Good afternoon,

This is just a reminder that we have the social on Sunday 2. 30pm – 4pm.

What you should expect to ring are methods and principles leading you to Stedman. These could include, Stedman, Erin, Grandsire, Reverse St Bartholomew, Original and any other method with the same type of work.

We will not be ringing Plain Bob and Reverse Canterbury methods.

and of course there will be cake!
