A reminder will be sent out before each event but please put these dates in your diaries! We have decided to ask for a £2 donation for each event to go to the host tower for their bell funds so please bring cash with you and we may also be able to provide a card payment option. Please share with any ringers that are not on PetNet, thank you.

Surprise Major ringers are invited to join us for this social event for some good ringing and cake! The chosen methods are Cambridge, London and Lessness. It would be great to see you and please come having done some homework if you don’t ring surprise methods very often!

We are finishing slightly early due to an All Souls service being held in the church. Therefore the last ring will be for the service.

My apologies for the delayed notification of this event. A combination of somewhat forgetful assistant ringing master and some mishaps with communication!

However, I do hope you are able to join us to ring major methods on the lovely bells at Castor next Sunday.

Sunday 17 November 2024, 3.30 – 5.30pm

St Mary’s, Peterborough

This workshop is aimed at people who are already able to ring up and down but struggle to be consistent or able to keep consistently behind the bell in front of them when ringing up/ down in peal.

Learners will have the opportunity to ring up and down several times with 1:1 guidance in a band that can support you. There are limited places so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to attend by replying to this email.

Thank you to all those who joined us for our surprise minor social at Nassington on Sunday, particularly Hilary for organising the tea and coffee, Yvette for the cake, David, James and Joseph for conducting. We rang lots of Cambridge, London and some Norwich.

Cotterstock, Sunday 4 August, 2-4pm

After a lovely, well attended ring at Bulwick last Sunday we have arranged another Surprise minor social.

We’re planning to go to Cotterstock this time so please put the date in the diary now. If it’s a good day Cotterstock is a lovely place for a picnic by the river or even in the churchyard if you want to bring your family. There will be cake!

A great opportunity to ring a surprise method. If there are any special requests for methods please let us know in advance so we can share and other people can do some revision if necessary.

Just a reminder that there’s a minor surprise social this Sunday, 1pm at Bulwick. Cambridge will be on offer for those just getting to grips with that and we’ve had a request for Norwich so for those that are happy with Cambridge please come prepared to ring that. Treble bobbing opportunities will also be available.
