Guild quiz & branch bob minor workshop

Thanks to the many people who have already purchased copies of the Guild quiz.

If I’ve neglected to send some to your tower and you would like to have some please let me know and I can send you an electronic copy to print.

For those of you who already have copies apparently there is an error in question 2 which should read October 31 st not November. The electronic copy is already corrected.

And while I’m on line I’d like to express thanks on behalf of all the participants to the team of helpers and organisers who ran such an excellent day at Castor on Saturday. Your hard work was greatly appreciated.

The Plain Bob Minor Workshop at Castor on 5th October is now fully subscribed and applications are closed.   All successful applicants have been sent a copy of the timetable.

We are looking forward to a very full day in which we shall ring 5040 changes between us!  Sadly it won’t count as a peal but we hope it will prove useful to all.

Ringing at the Cathedral 27 October

Dear all, an early reminder that the Branch has been invited to ring for Evensong at the Cathedral on Sunday 27 October 2019, ringing from 2.30pm.  This is a good opportunity to experience ringing on higher numbers of bells and the last session in May was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

So we can assess numbers, please will you let me know if you hope to join us.

Best wishes,

Hilary

Afternoon tea outing

Thankyou to Diana and Elaine for organising a great afternoon out today. We all had such a good time ringing three lovely sets of bells in Twyford, Cranford St John and Barton Seagrave and enjoyed the novel challenge of ringing 8 counter clockwise.

Thankyou too to those churches for allowing us to ring today and our non ringing members of the party found all three places historically very interesting.

Afternoon tea was delicious too and the sporadic heavy rainfall did not spoil our day.

What a lovely way to spend a wet afternoon!

Ringing and afternoon tea reminder

Dear all, just a reminder that the ringing and afternoon tea outing is taking place this coming Sunday, September 22nd.

All the details of the churches we will be visiting, timings and postcodes can be found in the EVENTS section of the petbells web site. To view click here
